News from Erasmus
The inauguration of the Erasmus Street at the Collège Vauban
On Wednesday, 30th November 2018, the Erasmus group visited our partner school in Strasbourg, the Collège Vauban. After a very friendly welcome and tour around the school, Mme Françoise Bey, Vice-president and assistant to the mayor of Strasbourg, spoke about actions taken by the town in order to support the equality of women and men. Afterwards, Mme Virginie Jeltsch, responsible for equality at the „Academie“, presented her field of work and discussed the topic “Gender Issues” with the French and German students.
In the afternoon, the whole group went into the yard of the school, where the inauguration of the schools’ “Erasmus Street” took place, with Mme Marx, the headmistress of the Collège being present. All partner schools and different results are being presented at different posts, lined up as a “street”.
The meeting finished at the “Musée d’Art moderne et contemporain de Strasbourg”, where we also visited the special exhibition of Joana Vasconcelos “I Want to Break Free”.
