Staying healthy throughout the school year

The European School Karlsruhe has a well-equipped infirmary, which is open during the whole school day.

The main duties of our nurse include:

– The care of the children

– The well-being of the children

– The medical care of our pupils

– Education and advice on health and healthy living

Prophylactic measures are also a main topic.

Please find below instructions from the Department of Health in Karlsruhe concerning contagious diseases.

If your child contracts one of the following  diseases (or some other infectious disease) it is compulsory for you to inform the school.

Nonbullous impetigo (Impetigo contagiosa)

Pertussis (whooping cough)

Mumps

Scabies

Scarlet fever

Chicken pox

Head Lice
