Subjects and Syllabi

Primary school timetable

In the primary school, the focus is on the mother tongue, mathematics and the first foreign language, but art, music, physical education, discovery of the world and religion/ethics also play an important part. The “European Hours” are also a key subject, where mixed nationalities from all language sections meet for a variety of common activities. The “European Hours” classes are interactive and usually taught in at least 2 languages to enable all children to understand and access the topic. New technologies are used in various forms (whiteboard, ipads, laptops, ICT room etc) across the curriculums and subjects.
